Homeowners: Doris & Del Wissler Designer: Samantha AnastasioDoris & Del live in Mount Joy, just behind their family-owned car dealership. They were undertaking a very large remodel/addition project that included their living room, dining room, laundry room, & master suite when they came into the showroom. They initially came in with interest in putting exotic, hardwood floors throughout the first floor of their home. They knew exactly what product they had wanted for their living room, dining room, master bedroom, & stairs as they had seen it installed somewhere else and fell in love with it, so that was in easy decision to help them make. For the hardwood, we installed an engineered, Triangulo Brazilian Pecan, plank & matching custom built treads and risers on the stairs to the second floor.

While they were in the showroom making selections for their hardwood, they started looking for ideas for their master bathroom and laundry room. They were looking for something that was classic, but would be cohesive with the design of the rest of their home. We selected a 12x12 gold/yellow slate look tile (Campani Pietre a Spacco) for the flooring in the both areas. We chose to set the tile on a diagonal with a staggered brick joint. In the shower we created interest on the walls by using a matching 12x12 tile, laid straight, with moldings and accent tile to bring a little œbling into space, then continued with the 12x12's on a diagonal above.

The shower accessories are made to match the material on the master vanity. We wanted to keep the two countertops pretty neutral & compliment the space. we choose to use Cambria Darlington on the vanity to keep it simple and then added a 4 backsplash of accent tile capped with a pencil molding behind the vanity to coordinate with the shower accent. We selected Cambria Minera on the laundry room counter to add a little sparkle to that space just as the shower accent and backsplash does in the bathroom. Doris & Del selected beautiful oil-rubbed bronze plumbing fixtures, which add a nice contrasting element to the space.

Doris and Del were a joy to work with and it was a pleasure to help them with creating their dream home!
