Designing for a small space is always a challenge but can also provide a great opportunity to be creative. We had the pleasure of working with Patricia Stadel, one of Lancaster's many talented designers, on this project. This bath will be used mainly by the client's teenage daughter who also helped with the selection process right down to the grout color. She wanted something spectacular. Not the black and white vintage look that has been making a come back everywhere in recent years. Since the bathroom was so small, using only one design element for interest along with a basic white field tile was the key to maintaining continuity in the space. The glass, stainless, & ceramic micro mosaic was the perfect solution to update the bath and give it the wow factor that she was looking for. Keeping the same mosaic on the floor as well as in the shower also gave the feel of elegance while not going overboard with Bling. This tiny space with it's new updated finishes has now become the centerpiece of the 2nd floor. It will serve as an eye catcher at the top of the stairs long after their daughter heads off to college
