Layered Designs

I have to say, kitchens and bathrooms are my absolute FAVORITE rooms in a home. They allow for layered design elements from the flooring, cabinets & countertops to the tile, lighting, paint and accessories. There are so many things that can be done in these spaces to set themselves apart from the rest of the home. This kitchen, that I worked on with the EG Stoltzfus remodeling team, is a great example of how well thought out selections layered together in a space can create a beautiful and functional final product. Christy & David were wonderful to work with and we're so happy we got the opportunity to be a part of their kitchen remodel. Countertops
This kitchen has 2 different types of granite! Brown Pearl Antiqued granite on the perimeter of the kitchen (which has a nice matte finish and slightly bumpy texture) and “Colonial polished granite on the large island. We love how the colors & the textures play off of one another in this space.

Kitchen Backsplash
To keep this kitchen nice and bright, we complimented the dark perimeter granite with a soft cream/white, hand crafted ceramic tile from Walker Zanger in a classic subway pattern with a slight contrasting grout color. The texture and gloss of the tile adds another great element to the kitchen!

Floors
The oak hardwood floors were stained to match the existing hardwood in the rest of the home. We didn't have a hand in making these floors beautiful, but we love how they complement the other kitchen selections and make the new kitchen feel like it's been this way since the home was built.
